FAQ

About Our Service

Which languages do LDNdoctor healthcare professionals speak?

English.

Will my information be kept confidential?

Absolutely. We will not share your information with any 3rd parties under any circumstances.

How much does the consultation cost and what does the fee cover?

We offer three types of appointments. To learn which is best for you check out our How It Works page. The fee covers the cost of the consultation with our healthcare professionals and the prescription for LDN. The fee does not include the cost of buying the medication.

How do I sign up?

Check out our video guide on making an appointment: https://youtu.be/9rakDMJ1MDE

Can I change my appointment at the last minute?

We ask that you give 24 hours notice of any changes by contacting us via the contact form or by email to info@ldndoctor.com.

What happens if my appointment time ends before I have all my questions answered?

Most appointments provide enough time to answer your questions. We recommend that you write all of your questions down before the appointment so that you will make efficient use of your time with the healthcare professional. If you need to, you may schedule another appointment at a later time to discuss additional questions or healthcare issues.

If the prescriber recommends that for some reason I should not use LDN, will I receive a refund?

In very rare cases, our healthcare professionals may decide after a consultation that it is not in your best interest to receive LDN. In that case, the appointment time will be utilized to suggest some alternatives. We cannot refund you for time spent discussing your case with our healthcare professionals.

What happens if I miss my appointment?

All payments are non-refundable.

If my appointment ends earlier than expected, can I discuss other unrelated medical issues?

Yes you can. Our healthcare professionals are available to answer all your medical questions in the allotted time.

How will I receive the LDN?

We will send the prescription electronically via secure transmission to a pharmacy that accepts electronic prescriptions, and ships to your state. The pharmacy will be in touch with you to arrange payment and shipping/pick-up. Please note the pharmacy may charge a delivery fee.

Will my insurance cover the cost of my appointment?

We don't accept insurance nor do we submit insurance claims. Most insurers will not cover the cost of your appointment or your LDN prescription. If you wish to submit an insurance claim, we can update your receipt with a single CPT code. We cannot provide a detailed time breakdown for multiple CPT codes.

LDN Prescriptions

The pharmacy supplied me with 3 months of LDN. How do I obtain more?

At the time of your appointment, a 3 month prescription with one refill was sent to your pharmacy. Whenever you are ready for your refill, call your pharmacy to arrange delivery. You do not need a new appointment to obtain the originally-prescribed refill.

It’s been 6 months since my last appointment. How do I obtain a refill?

Please book a Returning Client appointment to reassess your condition and obtain another 6 month prescription for LDN.

I need a change in my dosage. How do I get a new prescription?

If you have not yet used up your 6 months of LDN supply, contact us with details of the new dose you need and why. Your provider will review your request and update your prescription with the pharmacy.

Can I get a prescription for sublingual or transdermal LDN?

Yes, you can get sublingual or transdermal LDN if you would like. You will discuss this with the doctor at your appointment, and the doctor will send the Rx that you both agree on, to the pharmacy you agree on, right after your appointment.

More About LDN

How much does LDN cost?

Our healthcare professional can provide a script for LDN, but we do not sell or provide the LDN itself. The cost of LDN is set by the pharmacy where your script is sent, and we have no relationship with any pharmacies, financial or otherwise. Depending on the pharmacy used, our clients typically pay from $50 - $90 for a 3 month supply, or $17 to $30 per month.

Where can I learn more about LDN (such as side effects, how long after I start LDN should I start seeing results, and more)?

Feel free to ask your healthcare professional during your consultation or check out www.LDNscience.org for answers to all LDN questions.

I am using opiate painkillers. Can you still prescribe LDN?

LDN is not compatible with opiate-type pain-killers. If you are using these, you will have to wait 24 - 48 hours after stopping their use, before starting LDN. We don’t prescribe LDN for patients who are actively using opiate pain-killers. If your physician plans to discontinue your use of opiate painkillers, you may book an appointment with us on the understanding that you will begin LDN only after the opiate pain-killers are discontinued.
